Hi, I’m Maxime. I was born in 1985 in Rennes (Brittany, France). Impassioned by numbers and combinatorics, I began my Mathematics studies in 2004 at the University of Rennes 1. During my second Bachelor's year, I decided to leave for Montreal where I completed my Bachelor's degree at UQAM in 2007 as part of the CREPUQ exchange program. I finished my studies in Applied Mathematics at the Blaise Pascal University located in Clermont-Ferrand where I got my MSc in Statistics and Data Analysis in 2009.
I received my PhD degree in Computer Science from the Blaise Pascal University in 2012. During my PhD I worked at the Laboratory of Engineering for Complex Systems where I enjoyed the supervision of Sylvie Huet and Guillaume Deffuant. After I got my PhD, I decided to move to Palma de Mallorca to join the IFISC research lab. I spent three unforgettable years there working under the supervision of José J. Ramasco and Maxi San Miguel.
Currently, I am a Research Associate in spatial analysis and spatial modeling at Irstea as a permanent member of the TETIS laboratory based in Montpellier. My research interests focus on big data analysis and modeling of complex spatial systems in a multidisciplinary context, specifically applied to urban systems and human mobility.
